Ask your end users to log any timestamp they get DCd and report it to you so that you can search that time period for related events. It is not usually as verbose as packet capture, but it lets you search through recent log entries. If the disconnect cannot be reproduced and happens only a couple of times a day, then you may have better luck using the Log Monitor. ![]() This will give you the most information about what's happening and it will also give you error codes that you can reference in SonicWall KB Articles. If the disconnect happens fairly often, then set up a packet capture using the Filter to only show traffic from the VPN system's IP Address. To get a better idea of what's happening, I suggest starting at the Firewall itself.Ĭonnect to the VPN and log your system's IP Address. NetExtender (which I don't have installed right now) has a logging feature that you can read from within the application's UI, but isn't very helpful from my experience.
